“How Many People Should Approve My Email Marketing Messages?”

Hi Everyone

I came across a very interesting question from a client.

They asked me to suggest to them the best number of people who should make up their email marketing team.

You see they wished to have a graphic artist, copywriter, several department members and a few interested parties to be called upon for email marketing campaigns.

They thought all these people could actively engage in meaningful discussion and be able to send marketing messages to their database.

In theory the ‘team’ based idea could work well but in email marketing sometimes the message can be lost with too many people involved.

Email Marketing is about quick, instant reaction to events or simply being proactive to beat your competitors.

Having too many people decide on how it will look, how it will read and how it will be received may delay the important part of the email and that is getting out there.

Sure we need email marketing calendars etc. and this is where the email marketing  ‘team’ may work but in my experience it’s not that “Too Many Cooks Spoil The Broth it’s about “Too Many People Who Have To Approve Your Email May Dilute Your Email Marketing Message’.

“Will Using Video In My Email Marketing Make Me Money?”

Hi Everyone

In my email marketing post last March I asked the question,

“Do You Use Video In Your Email Marketing?”

I explored the reason why you should and why it’s important to do so.

You can read my post here:  http://bit.ly/2m85Da

I also gave a scenario of how and where you could use it.

Now according to Mike Madaio, Chief Internet Architect at QVC, people who watch video tend to convert better.

Video usage is expanding right now primarily due to three major factors:

1) people are watching numerous videos online and are therefore more receptive and acceptant to video in email;

2) creating and editing video has become very economical; and

3) video is consistently showing it increases engagement and the believability factor of the message.

So, get to it.  Start using video in your email marketing and you will get better results.

To give you an idea of how effective email marketing can be play Victor’s video and listen in.

The message is becoming louder and clearer –

USE VIDEO in your email marketing.

PS:  See you couldn’t resist playing the video could you ???
