Email Marketing: It’s Time To Clean Your Lists

Hi Everyone

As we enter into 2011,  it’s time to clean your email lists and correspond with only those who are happy to receive your messages.

Most of the cleaning of a list would come from deleting those undeliverable addresses.

Cleaning may also come from people who have never opened one of your emails.

It doesn’t matter how many people are on your lists it’s whether you engage them which is important.

Also…

Poor email lists pollute your statistics.

So before you email in 2011, make sure you start with a ‘CLEAN LIST’.

When you do you will see much brighter statistics in 2011.

about this time of year, it becomes a fantastic opportunity for you to
get thinking about how to hit the ground running in 2011.

And I’d like to help.

here are my Top 4.

When used as prescribed any one of these products will bring you
more success in 2011 than you had this year.

And wouldn’t that be a delight.

These products are not in order, they are in a logical sequence
to me.  And yes, a couple of them may offer me a reward if you
choose to use them but that is not the reason I am recommending them.

Email Marketing: Australian Spam Laws Explained

Hi Everyone

Did you know in Australia we are allowed to have ‘Inferred Consent’ which works well for B2B marketing.

For instance if a plumber publishes his email address then it is OK for another business to contact him regarding plumbing supplies.

You can’t contact them about cheap pharmaceuticals though.

This allows open and free conversation between like services which is a very smart way of handling electronic messaging.

What like natured business can you help?

Email Marketing: Take A Look At This Great Subject Line

Hi Everyone

For years I have been shouting from the rooftops about segmenting your customer lists.

This enables you to send specific messages direct to them.

Another way to segment is inside your email message.

That is to create specific content for a specific demographic of people but send your email message to everyone.

Take a look at Kaboodle’s latest email subject line:

“24 Awesome Gifts for Teens”

This leaves the recipient in no doubt of what the email content contains.

The first paragraph of the email then read:

This Week’s Hot Picks
This holiday season, there’s no need to stress over what to get the teenagers in
your life—Kaboodle’s gift guide has awesome ideas for all ages. Whether you’re
shopping for a budding fashionista, a music lover, or a fan of the latest gadgets,
there’s something for everyone. Take a peek at 24 of our favorite gifts below and
browse our entire gift guide for fab ideas for everyone on your list.

Can you see how they have used segmentation beautifully here.

The subject line and content are very specific.

If you are in the market to buy a present this Christmas for a teenager then here is the perfect email to check out.

Brilliant isn’t it.

And…

The best part of this email is, it did contain 24 Awesome Gifts For Teens, including pictures and url links.

Great email, great strategy and great connection with their list.

PS: What can you do to copy this tactic?

Email Marketing: Oh Gosh, There’s Only 12 Buying Days To Go

Hi Everyone

Over the past couple of weeks I have been busy putting together
Christmas campaigns for clients and today realised Christmas is
approaching faster than a speeding bullet.

Oh Gosh, There’s Only 12 Buying Days To Go.

And did you know…

The majority of your customers need help to buy presents.

Sure; some may have already done their Christmas shopping

but…many would not have

and…

there is always ‘that relative’ who is proving to be a ‘headache’
NO NIGHTMARE to buy for.

So what can you do about this.

The major thing to do is to start looking at your lists and
deciding what products and services you can offer them.

Try to think, “What would make it easier for the customer
to buy?”

i.e. You could offer products and services by price.
“These products priced at:

* Less than $20;
* Between $20 and $50;
* Over $50;
* Over $100.”

This way your customers can decide quickly where to focus their attention.

You could offer your products and services by number.

* Grab one of these and get another one free.
* Buy 4 get the fifth one free.

You could offer your products and services with ‘complimentary’ gift wrapping.

You could offer your products and services with free delivery. This is a major
decider for those people who research and buy on-line.

And one of the best I have seen was this one.
They offered a set of three coupons which they sent to all their customers
via email – in one mail-out:

* Coupon 1 – 10% Off  (with an expiry date) and if it is used;
* Coupon 2 – 12% Off  (with an expiry date) and if it is used;
* Coupon 3 – 15% Off  (with an expiry date).

The best though was the company telling everyone these offers are
only for their email subscribers and the offer IS NOT available unless
people were already on their list.

How’s that for exclusivity and what we call ‘the take-away offer’.
They openly told many previous customers you are not getting this deal !

I have no doubt they have made additional sales as people took advantage
of the coupon email offer.

I also have no doubt they received additional sign-ups to their email lists
as people would not wish to miss out on the next wave of offers.

So, now it’s your turn.

What are you going to put together for you customers?

I recommend you send an email this Wednesday 15th (that leaves you
tomorrow to put your thinking cap on) and again on Friday 17th.

You should then be able to send three emails out the following week.

All in all; there is still time to send out 5 emails before Christmas.

Email Marketing – Beware About Emailing Frequency

Hi Everyone

A question I am continually asked is, “How often should I email my clients?”

The answer is a resounding, “It depends.”

Because…

It does.

All client lists and relationships are different.

But let me help you with a more strategic answer here.

To suddenly increase the frequency of emails to attract short-term sales could be counter productive.

Create a yearly email marketing strategy.

However, in saying this…

Christmas time brings up an ideal opportunity to increase email frequency.

Why?

Because people are looking to spend money somewhere on someone.
So why shouldn’t it be with you?

There are 10 shopping days left for Christmas.  Create an email marketing plan to send out a minimum of 5 emails during this time offering a fabulous deal on your products or services.

You will be so glad you did.

Plus…

They will be used to seeing you in their inbox which means you have created an awareness with them to send emails more frequently next year.

Email Marketing – Can You Use Any Of These Tactics?

Hi Everyone

Can You Use Any Of These Tactics?

Each year retailers are looking at different ways to capture sales.

And because your business sells  products and services,
you should take a look at this too.

As an example each year I offer my 5 x 5 x 5.5 Christmas Promotion.
It’s where 5 businesses get to work with me on an email campaign for
them to send 5 emails for $550.

Simple Really.

Well this year I was oversubscribed with an additional 433.33% of people
wanting to come on board compared to last year.

I had to turn down many clients.

This could have been because people were waiting for the promotion again or
because they were ready to run their very own Christmas Promotion.

Whatever the reason…

Statistics don’t lie.

So what can you do to engage your customers to buy?
What can you do to entice them to give their Christmas Dollars to you?

Which gets me back to the topic of this email.

In America, retailers are now using their traditional Thanksgiving Holiday
Season to drive sales.

You see…

Thanksgiving is always celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November which has allowed retailers to use this time to announce the commencement of Christmas Shopping.

But what is interesting is…

As well as marking the start of Christmas Sales, clever marketers are driving
sales on the Friday and Monday following Thanksgiving (Thursday).

These days are known as Black Friday and Cyber Monday respectively and I am going to provide you with more tactics in a report on how they are used to make sales and profits in my next email to those who have downloaded my “7 Killer Tips Book” over to the right.

Plus…

if you download this report coming you way – you will be able to discover
how I can still help you with your email marketing this Christmas.

But first…

take a look at these offers retailers are using on Black Friday and
Cyber Monday and determine how you could adopt them in your business.

There are offers ranging from $25 off.

$25_Off_Over_$100

to offers ranging from Free Shipping.

Free_Shipping

The tactics behind these offers via email are worth dissecting
and studying and that is what I will do in my Free Report coming
your way soon.

Inside it I will discuss their offers.

Do their offers really matter?

That’s what I am going to reveal in my Free Report coming soon.

Contact me if you would like a copy.

In the meantime take another look at these offers and see if you
could adopt something similar in your business.
