I totally agree Paul. I am shocked at only 0.6% of emails did not contain a sales message.
Mind you it may been where EEC did their research but it’s more about the ‘context’ then the actual stats.
Hopefully we can influence others to stop trying to sell with every email.

I’m singing the “hallelujah chorus” – hoping that people will listen to yourmessage. I’m so sick and tired of the ‘sell now sell now’ mentality that I’ve unsubscribed from just about EVERY list I was on.

That’s a number worth listening to too.

Great article Kurt,

I certainly hope your readers take your advice, or take you up to get it planned out for them.

Even through I am more strategic than most it was a timly reminder for me to plan better.

Anyone reading this, who planned to get out emial campaigns last year, and didn’t! Just pay the man the money, it’s not an expense, it’s an investment.

Quick question – did you get the results last year? Yes or no?

Then you know what you need to do. Right?

These are very useful and need to know tips for everyone who plans using Email marketing to promote his business.
I and i say this from my own personal experience, think that email marketing is the marketing strategy that offers the biggest return for the initial investment.
