Email Marketing – It’s Biggest Asset Is Also It’s Biggest Enemy

Hi Everyone

Email Marketing’s biggest asset is also it’s biggest enemy.

Let me explain…

It’s very affordable and cost effective to email.   Most people have an email address so it becomes very easy for anyone to send an email.

And this is where the problem could lye for legitimate email marketers.        i.e. Getting their message recognised through all the clutter in a person’s in-box.

Most businesses or people do not understand that email marketing is a science which takes testing, testing and more testing to discover what works best.

There are many things which could be tested too.

Like…

The subject lines, the headers in an email.  Images are also useful additions to an email.

Then you need to consider if you should send a short email or a long email and never discount the method of sending emails.

By this I mean emails should be sent in both HTML and Text versions. Allow the recipient to decide which format they would like to view them in.

With all emails you should also have sound content which is related to the reader and ensure you include a call to action.  Never let the reader wondering what they should do next.

The final part of any email marketing campaign should include your ‘signature’ including links and make sure you also include at least two PS’s.

Email Marketing is affordable and this allows most people to undertake it.

But…

Learn the tips, learn the ways, methods to ensure you get your messages read and become a sought after email marketer to your clients.

Yes, the biggest asset is its affordability so this makes it also  its biggest enemy.

Learn how to email market effectively and you will be soon recognised as a legitimate whiz where your clients will appreciate your messages.

Email Marketing – Are You Using The Three “R’s”

Hi Everyone

I am a huge fan of three core principles of email marketing. They are:

1. The List;

2. The Relationship You Have with Your List;

3. The Offer You Are Making To Your List.

All three must be congruent with the recipient.

Recently I came across another three email principles which resonated with me.  They were delivered by Eric Kirby at last year’s Email Insider Summit and make sense.

He spoke about email marketing being about the Three “R’s”.

1. Reach – How many people does your message go out to AND size does matter;

2. Relevancy of the message -  (What I describe as the right message to the right person at the right time;

3. Rhythm – How often you send your email messages.

To me, all these make sense.

The greatest failures I see businesses make in marketing are:

1. They have not captured sufficient customer email addresses and details to warrant a marketing campaign;

2. They do not segment their list enough, and therefore send out messages to everyone regardless of relevancy; and

3. They send out messages haphazardly without any strategic thought or plan, and without any logical timing.

If you wish to get the greatest benefit from your email marketing then you need to engage my 3 steps of:

1. Get a list together 2. Start relationship building and 3. make them offers too good to refuse.

but…

if you also apply Eric Kirby’s “3 R’s” of Reach, Relevancy and Rhythm them kabboom !!!

Do these consistently and you will discover an enormous boost in your profits.

Email Marketing – Email Subject Lines

“Revealing 23 Email Subject Lines You Can Use”

Hi Everyone

The art of getting your emails opened lies in your ability
to write email subject lines which excite and create
enough curiosity to force a recipient to click.

Of course there is a little more to it than this, like:

  • Having your name or company name identified in the email ‘FROM’ box;  and
  • Using an email address which inspires confidence.

but…

the essence is to have an attention grabbing phrase which entices, teases and propels the recipient to want to read more.

Most email programs allow the subject line to be around 50 characters.
This means a subject line could be 4-8 words in length.

The most important aspect of subject lines is to test to your list and
record your results.  Once you find the best lines then try simple variations
of them.  By slighty ‘tweaking’ you may not need to alter the subject line too much.

Here are a few different types of subject lines which will give you an idea
on what you could use.

All of these leave the reader with the thought, “I wonder what this email is about?”

Email Subject lines should also be written to introduce the content of your email.

Do not trick or mislead a reader into reading a subject line to find the email content was about a different topic.

You will not be welcomed in a recipients inbox when you send future emails if you do.

Keep records, keep statistics and dis.cover what works best for your lists.

Soon it will be relaunched with bigger, brighter, more comprehensive knowledge, skills, tips, techniques and content.

Email Marketing – Father’s Day

Have You Remembered Father’s Day ?

Hi Everyone

I don’t mean remember your Father in particular (although it
would be lovely to), I mean Father’s Day.

Let me explain…

The latest retail statistics tell us poor ol’ Dads have, on
average, $10 less spent on them than Mothers on Mother’s Day.

$10 LESS ON DADS… SACRILEGE !!!

So, to help the poor old Dad’s out there, why don’t you extend
your sales for Father’s Day to Father’s WEEK.

What I mean is; offer your Father’s Day Specials for the entire
week – ending Friday 10th September.

This way Dad’s may be able to have that $10 less than the Mum’s
come his way.

Whatever, you have to offer as a Father’s Day Gift – lengthen the
sale period by 5 days.  It may help you SELL MORE too.

If you haven’t informed your clients about Father’s Day then
by extending the sale period by a week will also give you extra time
to do it.

Makes sense doesn’t it.

My team and I are here if you need.

I have a great package available for $197 to send out a
campaign for you.

All you have to do is contact me NOW.
