Some would say too long !
Yet the reality is most of us subscribe to many email lists, not that we read all the emails, but we stay subscribed.
Why do we do that?
Why don’t we simply unclutter our lives, unsubscribe from these lists and get on with what we have to do.
Well there are a multitude of reasons and I will let the psychologists take that question on board.
I am more inclined here to help you get your emails opened, read and acted upon… so here are some questions to ask yourself.
Get these 4 questions right and you will discover your emails will work.
1. Are you offering a Benefit to your recipients?
Your emails should connect with your people. Not everybody on your lists will resonate with every message so make sure you segment your lists.
2. Do you offer an Element of Surprise in your emails?

3. Is your email content credible?
After all, “Lose 20 kilos in a week by taking this pill” doesn’t happen.
Only email products and services you will buy and use and are happy to own.
Today’s social media can ruin a business if you are unethical.
4. Is your email address credible?
Stay away from Gmail or generic email addresses.
Also don’t send from sales@… or admin@… addresses.
The first part of an email viewed by a recipient is the sender’s names.
Use a personal name because people buy from friends.
