Every so often seasonal events allow us to check out what the big
players are marketing and to copy them.
This copying is generally called ‘piggyback marketing’ and there is
something happening in around 6 weeks time you can make sales from.
It’s the ‘The End Of The Financial Year” and companies like
Foxtel use this time to promote their “EOFYS” campaigns.
What this means to you is the larger companies are programming
your customers to spend before the 30th June.
Please don’t disregard what the 30th June means to many people.
A company/business may have budgets they need to spend.
A consumer who purchases certain items before the 30th June
may be able to claim these as legitimate tax expenses.
Car companies have end of financial year run-outs.
Retailers often start their mid year sales around this time to
take advantage of tax refunds which people will start
receiving in July.
The point here is trying to discover what products or services
you can highlight and offer to your customers.
It could be products you know are tax deductible.
It could be services people can pre-pay a year in advance
to allow them to fully claim the expense in this year’s tax return.
Have a think, look into your products and services and plan what
you could offer.
Don’t let the big companies like Foxtel and Ford spend millions of
dollars educating your clients to spend and not take advantage of it.
