Email Marketing: Sorry I Have To Tell You This

Hi Everyone

“Sorry I Have To Tell You This”

For those who know me personally you are aware I
have been into marketing and motivational type products
etc. for well over 30 years.

I’m one of those funny guys who buys the books, the tapes,
goes to seminars and walks up to speakers and introduces
themselves.

My library looks like the “Who’s Who” of the marketing world
over the last 50 plus years.

I know…But that’s me.

For the past 14 years I have been out on my own making a
living i.e NO BOSS – and YES – a very handsome one at times;
(multiple racehorse ownership, a luxury b.each apartment, multiple property
developments & the latest model cars to name a few extravagances)

I always thought I could do things on my own.

You know; I don’t need help to make money or a very good living.

But…

Then I listened to a video today from one of my marketing buddies in
the States and I heard these words.

And it hurt. Yes, hurt.

He said:
“Sorry, but I have to tell you this, but if there is a problem
with your business it’s probably YOU !”

Now, he wasn’t speaking direct to me. He was speaking to the
hundreds or thousands who were going to watch the video, but
he may as well have been speaking to me.

Because…

His words hit me direct in the heart, like a crossbow arrow piercing
through my chest and blazingly protruding from my back.

I thought, “OUCH – That HURTS”

Why ?

Because he was Right !

Until you can admit you need someone to help you in your
business you won’t get the results you deserve. PERIOD !

You see, we can’t do it alone. Even a lone sprinter still needs
someone to click the stopwatch for them.

I have realised I need others to help and you can too.

I have put in place today to reconnect with some mentors
I have had over the years and toss around a few ideas and
thoughts with them.

I need their help to make sure I am on track to achieve
what I wish.

What about your Business. Do you need a hand?
Everyone does.

The first place to start is with your Marketing.

Yes, you need to look at this and get a plan underway.

So to help, I have put together a 22 page book titled,
“There Are Only 8 Types Of Emails”.

It gives you explanations and examples and it will
be dogeared from your use within a few very short months.

You can get it FREE from here: ONLY 8 TYPES OF EMAIL

I hope you do because I don’t wish to post again
and say, “Sorry, But I Have to Tell You This.”

Some Kind Of Life

Hi Everyone

The last couple of weeks have been somewhat hectic.

I have been putting together email campaigns for businessess and then all of a sudden the family’s 12 day beach holiday was upon me.

I was planning, organising and scheduling events so I could relax in style – that’s me doing nothing except lying around and watching the cricket.

It’s now Day 6 (Monday 18th) and I received a timely reminder this morning that life should be about contentment.

You see…

The kids disappeared somewhere…

It’s OK (somebody else can feed them today), and I was left to my own devices.

Well the T.V. went on but the cricket finished.  Damn those Australians – too good again !

So, I have found the next most interesting thing for me to do and that is:

  • write another post.

and for those who follow me it’s been a little while since I did this.

So, as I enjoy my life in contentment, let me leave you with a few words which I discovered last year during hundreds of email campaigns for businesses.

1. All businesses need to collect names and addresses of clients;

2.. All businesses need to inform customers about what’s happening inside the business;

3. All businesses have a story to tell their clients;

and there is no excuse NOT to do this.

Whether you use email, direct mail, telephone, flyers, newspaper ads, T.V., radio or a combination – if you wish to be in business then market.

It is not a person’s repsonsibility to find out what you do IT’S YOUR RESPONSIBLITY to let them know.

Bob Proctor says, “Success is a combination of Motivation and Education”

I can’t motivate you, you have to do that yourself.

but…

I can educate you if you wish to learn.

And as I said in my last post and in an email to my LISTS…

“Don’t make NewYear Resolutions MAKE New Year DECISIONS.”

So, as I contemplate what the next two hours will bring here at our Beach Holiday, I ask you what the next two hours will bring your business.

Are you ready to be educated about email marketing???

If so, send me an email and let’s get started.

“Email Marketing Statistics Are Thought To Be….”

“Email Marketing Statistics Are Thought To Be….”

Hi Everyone

In an article published  by Chad White in the Email Insider, yesterday,
http://www.mediapost.com/publications/?fa=Articles.showArticle&art_aid=109717
it was revealed the anticipated ROI (Return On Investment) from email
marketing in 2009 was closer to $130 for every dollar spent.

It was previously thought the ROI for 2009 would be around $43.52.

This should have all company executives and business owners screaming
at their Financial Officers and Marketing Teams asking them how much
are they budgeting for with email marketing in their advertising budgets this year.

It is well documented email marketing is the best return on investment in
marketing a business can do.

My article posted in February this year outlined this:
http://www.kurtjohansen.com/businessstrategy/%E2%80%9Cemail-marketing-brings-in-the-best-return-on-investment%E2%80%9D.php

but the best is…

it’s now a far better result than anyone expected.

The main reason the stats are so high is we have never been able to accurately count how much spending occurs from a consumer who read an email campaign but goes direct to a website or visits a store.

Now the figures are in and Chad White makes a valid point -

i
f you are not using email marketing in your business – WHY NOT !

Quote from Chad White’s article:

“Be sure to trumpet your successes and the email marketing successes
of your peers and competitors.

If financial self-interest doesn’t motivate your executives,
then perhaps the sense that their competitors are pulling
ahead of them may.”

Unquote.

I will be delivering a talk on email marketing in Melbourne this weekend – you can grab the details here:
http://www.businessactionexpo.com/

Here I will reveal:

  • the 7 Killer Tips to get your emails open, read and acted upon

I’ll also reveal how one business made $39,000 after sending out
only three emails using my tactics.

I know there may be sceptics out there and that is OK.

If, however, you are looking for that edge over your competitors
or simply looking for extra money to pay your bills and feed your family
then take a look at email marketing it is the most cost effective highest
return on investment you can achieve.
