Easter Is Over – So What is Next?

Hi Everyone

For the email marketer, Easter is over, so what is next in-line.

It doesn’t need to be a certain event, though these critical times in the consumer spending habits work well – it could just be about letting people know what more you can do for them.

For instance…

what problems or concerns have you solved for a customer lately.  What good deed have you done which would benefit other people.

Let me explain…

Last week I was interviewed by Master Interviewer West Loh.  http://www.westloh.com .  West has interviewed some of the greats in the business/entrepreneurial world like: Bob Ansett, Brian Sher, Noah St Johns, Yaro Starak, Rowena McEvoy.  Now some of these names may not be known to you but I can assure you they are all very very successful people in their fields.

During West’s interview it was obvious I was dealing with a thorough professional who did his research, knew my topic and was prepared to ask me the toughest questions.  At the end of the 50 minutes both West ad I now have a interview which can help his business and mine.  We can turn this into a product and make it available for our clients.

The point I am making here is don’t just rely on your old fashioned selling ways.  Look at doing something different for your clients and help them solve them problems.

“They Are All The Same Word”

Hi Everyone

“Sales, Influence, Negotiation, Persuasion”, are all the same word.

It doesn’t matter what our belief system is; we are all into one of these.

The trick  is to give so much value the person feels wonderful during and after the experience.

If you have a good product and it is fairly priced and you are ethical then… you are on your way.

But…

When you use Email Marketing you also need to overcome a major hurdle in that people cannot see you.

The communication process is made up of:

Words 7%

Voice 38%
(including pitch, volume, tone etc.)

Body Language 55%
(Hand gestures, facial expressions etc.)

Total 100%

and…

when you use Email Marketing they cannot see your face or body language nor hear your voice – and this is a major obstacle to overcome.

So, what can we do to overcome this?

Firstly, treat them with respect and use their name in your messages.

Secondly, grab their interest.  Write to them as if you are talking directly to them.

Thirdly, captivate their attention.  Get into the emotion of the product and service you are asking them to take on.

and above all…

be HONEST in your dealings.

Give them value, give them great offers and DELIVER.

Deliver, on time and on budget.

So don’t be shy to use these words in your vocabulary “Sales, Influence, Negotiation, Persuasion”    -   if you are credible they will believe.

These are terrific emails for me to receive but this person must have some bad workdays – don’t you think.

Then the words of P.T. Barnum began ringing in my ears.

It’s Kurt Johansen.  (Referee’s name) ………. from (Referee’s business) …………, introduced us yesterday.

I am confirming us getting together on Monday at 10.00 am.

As asked, I am including a spiel on who I am and what I do.

More specifically this email contains:

    1. My introduction.  It’s my ‘elevator pitch’, not too personal in an email but it gets the appoint across;
    2. What we do;
    3. How ABC can benefit from this;
    4. An additional Massive benefit for ABC;  and
    5. The Fees;
    6. The No Risk Guarantee; and
    7. The conclusion.

    Let’s start:

    1. Introduction:

    As a business coach I have continually heard business people tell me they suffer from
    one or more of these frustrations.

    • I don’t market to existing customers;
    • Besides it costs too much to market;

    Business people concentrate so much in their business they neglect to work on the marketing of their business.
