If you don’t like what I am about to tell you then… I’m sorry, but it’s true and it works.

Anyhow, let me tell you something one of my client’s does. They send out an email each week regarding a particular topic which is newsworthy.  Week after week after week.

Let me guess what you’re thinking. Is it something like this?

Why do they send out weekly?  Isn’t that far too often?  And anyhow, don’t they annoy their customers?

Well, they do it for two reasons.

1. Because it works. And it works because you never know when prospects will buy, so you have to keep plugging away.  You have to stay at the ‘front of the mind’ of your customers.  To be there when they are ready to buy.

2. Because it’s better than nothing.  It is like having a 1000 business cards sitting in the top drawer of your desk.  How the hell are these business cards going to bring  in business if people don’t see them?  You have to be in the market place.

I constantly see clients who squander priceless days and weeks, and even months – pondering what they should send out when they should just get an email out.

You don’t have to be an ideas person in this game.

Try these reasons to email your customers.

  • When something big is happening in the market;
  • When your competitors are cooking up something;
  • When you have anything to say of interest which connects with your list;
  • When you produce a new product, change a price, or are offering a special deal;
  • Think constantly of what they might be interested in – after all give them
    reasons to read;


  • Don’t worry about communicating too often – they will let you know when enough is enough;
  • Those who communicate most do better than those who do it least;
  • Talk whenever you have something you think will interest prospects;
