I have a question to ask you  but first…

The last 60 days have been intriguing.

For 30 days I travelled 7,000 klms around Australia visiting my clients


the past 30 days I was held captive by one to work solely for them.

Locked away from the normality of life I was commissioned to write 400 pages of succinct, clear, incisive and processed driven material.

It wasn’t my usual gig but hey as I keep telling my 4 boys…

With the rare oxygen now flowing through my lungs I want to ask you:

“Are You Prepared For Father’s Day?”

Gees, it’s probably the furthest thing from your mind right now.


If you don’t start thinking about Father’s Day now you may miss out on this very important day in sales.

You see, although retail spending is at a low, I bet there will be an abundant amount of money gleefully taken out wallets and directed towards keeping father’s happy.

Don’t despair if you have not thought about Father’s Day yet.

So grab your pen and write this down.

Better still copy and paste and print it out.

That way it will be in front of you for the next few weeks.

Firstly, you need to plan your marketing to finish on Father’s Day.

In Australia, Father’s Day  falls on the first Sunday in September,
(the 6th of September 2015)

Let’s call this your Email Marketing Campaign Finish Day.”


You need to work backwards, weekly, and decide how many emails you may wish to send before the Campaign Finish Day.

I like to commit to at least a minimum of a four-email campaign.

For example…

If your Campaign Finish Day is the 6th September (Father’s Day), then you have from today to send emails.

Confusing?  Let me help.

If you wish to send four emails the schedule would look like:

  • Email One – send immediately
  • Email Two – send in a few days’ time (no later than Monday 31st August;
  • Email Three – send Wednesday 2nd September;
  • Email Four – send the Friday before Father’s Day – 4th September.

All of these emails are to be centred around the theme, Father’s Day.

So, what have you to offer your clients for Father’s Day ???
