Can I ask you a few questions today?

If you viewed a TV ad shown during your favourite T.V. show 193 days ago would you remember the ad and act?

How about an advertisement in your daily newspaper with a fancy eye-catching border printed 193 days ago?  Would you send back the coupon today?

Or a flyer or a brochure delivered by a ‘walker’ and placed on its own directly in your letterbox? Any chance that is sitting around 193 days later to finally take advantage of?

No…?

We’ll how about a sales letter posted to you inside a handwritten-personalised envelope which seduced you to open and read the contents?  Would you still have this letter around after 193 days later to act upon?

As I guessed, you wouldn’t.

All these forms of marketing are well passed their used by dates 193 days later.

Gees 193 days later – No way will most people act on this type of marketing.

Except…

There is one which still works 193 days and longer.

Let me explain…

This is what happened to Victor.

Victor is a real person.

He is the MD and Owner of DEPS.  DEPS supplies mining and drilling products.

Victor sends out weekly emails to his clients.

Sometimes the emails contain sales messages.

Sometimes they are relationship building.

Sometimes the emails are Victor just saying hello.

But the emails go out…

Yes 193 days later, Victor has received a request for a quote for urgent manufacture and delivery of 2,250 items.

Now here is the kicker…

Are they gobsmacked about the order?

Both Victor and his team are used to this.

Well initially when they received replies like this they were.

But not anymore.

The team at DEPS are used to these requests from past and present emails and that is why Victor uses email marketing in his business and you should too.
